GET AUTHENTIC AT BAYROUTE
Always had a thing to try out the new places in town? Bayroute, upon its opening created a lot of buzz and, was the talk of the town. The day I went, they were already over booked but the staff was really courtoues to arrange an outside seating for us. We were waffling about sitting in the scorching heat of Mumbai, but the appetizing food made it worth. The tables were shaded by an umbrella with a cooler nearby making it breezy and clement. The middle eastern cuisine, cooked using the ancient recipes and the traditional ingredients just gave it a touch of perfection with fine aroma conferting to the mind. Bayroute provides you with a one- of-its-kind dining experience in Mumbai with a good romantic atmosphere and the interiors were mind bobbling with enumerated wall art, and captivating chandeliers and lighting comfortable group seating. They have sheeshas placed and lantern as a part of their decor. A soft soothing music is like a cherry on the cake which plays in the background. I was in a fix looking at the interiors, from the outside it seams as just one of the recent modern cafes, once you enter it gives you the perfect middle eastern culture vibes. It is located at colaba on the main road it self, not tough to spot it stands out and can easily be spotted with its valet just standing outside the restaurant.
Last but the best, and highly recommended by me is the baklava, it was very rich in dry fruits which gave it a crunch and topped with fresh red rose petals had its own aromatic charm. To end it with they spayed dry ice making it just very refreshing.
To complement the meal, they have an exquisite range of cocktails and mocktails. Turkish madness which is a LIT with 5 different spirits and rose water is worth the taste.
The restaurant serves lip-smacking cuisines from Egypt Turkey Lebanon to even Greece. They serve you everything from hummus, lamb, baklava to their amazing lotus dessert for the sweet tooth. On our visit, we started with their famous Edamame with truffle oil hummus and the turkish flat bread Side which comes with a variety of accomplanits . Next we tried the Batata Harra its basically a potato dish with a pinch of masalas and Halloumi Cigars which is stuffed with cheese and a bit of asparagus all of them had a burst of flavours. We were too full and preferred jumping to their dessert directly. They had a decent range to satisfy our sweet cravings. We decided to order the baklava and lotus drama.
Lotus drama is for people who have a taste for caramel, it comes on the Dubai famous caramel biscuits "lotus" base topped with their in house ice cream adding to its lip smacking flavour.Last but the best, and highly recommended by me is the baklava, it was very rich in dry fruits which gave it a crunch and topped with fresh red rose petals had its own aromatic charm. The staff was courteous but the service was very slow and the waiters seemed a bit confused. All in all, we had an affable time at the restaurant just it was a bit heavy on the pocket. Overall it was worth it.#bayroutereview #bayroutemumbai #bayrouteblogger
